Hobbies and Interests: Reading and writing, fiction, history, geography, urbanism and urban planning, map-making, and music!

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 3rd grade, so maybe around 2006

Favorite music: I love jazz and funk, hip-hop, and some new wave and that weird era of "punk"-ish "no wave" type bands

Books: Anything by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o or Italo Calvino, but I can always appreciate Kurt Vonnegut, Toni Morrison, and plenty of newer writers published by small presses

TV shows/Movies: Fargo (tv show and movie), Sorry to Bother You (movie), Bacurau (movie), Barton Fink (movie), A Very Secret Service (tv show), Seinfeld (tv show)

Instrument: Trombone, Bass Trombone, Bass Guitar (not so great), Didgeridoo (barely)

Do you like sports? Sometimes I'll watch a basketball or football (US) game with my family

Family: :|

Clothing: I really like specific materials like suede and corduroy

How did you find this website? I posted on here probably a decade ago when I was a young teen, can't remember what name I may have gone by or anything but it was probably embarrassing

Job: Currently unemployed :(

Plans for the future? I really want to move out for good, live in a dense and walkable city, work in publishing in some sort of creative position either related to acquisitions or editing with significant work on the content, output, and community

Any comments? Not yet!

What is your first name?

Alexander (or Alex for short)

Age:

28

Location:

San Francisco, CA

Hobbies and Interests:

Video games, anime/manga, and (more recently) drawing

Why are you here?

To learn how to engage with people outside my family, and to grow not just as an adult but as a person

When were you diagnosed?:

I can't remember exactly, but I believe it was somewhere between 5th - 8th grade

Favorite music:

I don't really follow any particular artists, I'd say I lean towards techno but can enjoy (or appreciate) songs from other genres too
Some of my favorite songs include Information High by Sharon Apple and Born Slippy by Underworld

Books:

I'm not much of reader, but I really enjoyed Xenos (along with the rest of the Eisenhorn Triology) by Dan Abnett

TV shows/Movies:

I haven't really watched any lately

Instrument:

I don't play one

Do you like sports?

I'm not really one for it, but I like to think that I can appreciate it at least
I find motorsports more engaging,

Family:

Mother, Father, and Dog

Clothing:

I'm not exactly fashion conscious
My usual go-to clothes consists of a stylized T-shirt + (camo) Cargo pants
I can't handle anything that's tight/skinny

How did you find this website?

I was referred to it by my mother

Job:

Don't have one currently

Plans for the future?

Long term? Be able to live independently and support myself

Short term? Learn how to socialize with others, (hopefully) make friends, practice drawing

Any comments?

I'm a bit of an introvert, and for most of my life I've typically shied away from socializing with others
But I've come to realize that I shouldn't let that stop me from trying to make friends. The reason for that is best summed up by this quote I found while browsing: "I don't mind being alone. But I hate feeling lonely."
