I am happy to go to an organised display and will thoroughly enjoy the spectacle. Being surrounded by lots of people having a good time is very therapeutic, however...

Random loud bangs and bright flashes from people letting off fireworks, especially if I'm outside and my stress and anxiety climbs rapidly to the point where I'm nearly running for sanctuary.

I would happily support a ban on unlicensed fireworks.

I’m indifferent about fireworks for the most part (some actully look cool).

What I do hate are irresponsible idiots and drunk f**ktards risking the physical integrity of the people in their environment with their behaviour though, leaving other people crippled or even dead. Our emergency rooms get overflown by injured and burned people every year on New Years Eve.

Or to put it differently: The vast majority of humankind is way too deranged and overwhelmingly stupid to be trusted with that stuff.

My current girlfriend has sound sensory issues & is possibly on the spectrum & she hates the noise but would like watching the show. Her parents didn't think to get her earplugs or those things people wear over their ears when working around power tools & machines to reduce the sound(I forget what they're called, my dad worked in construction but seldom wore em & he doesn't have the best hearing partly because of it) when she was a kid & her parents just quit going to the shows.

I'm not so big on the show aspect, I just like blowing s**t up.

We just watched fireworks tonight for Canada Day. I brought a pair of small earplugs and it's wonderful. To be honest I brought them for shrieking kids and teenagers, but they made the fireworks more pleasant as well. I appreciated the visual beauty more. It was a bit weird to feel the vibrations without being bothered by the noise. Next time I'll bring enough for my whole family. They thought it was very loud. :D

fireworks look beautiful. however, plenty of things appear beautiful. things are not always the way they appear. fireworks too loud. hate random loud noises going off. where i live, and where i work, high crime rate. loud noises make me fear gunshots or something. anxiety disorder. loud noises sometimes gimmie headaches. this year, near my Pigpen, some fireworks scheduled today until 10pm and tomorrow (july fourth) until 10:30pm. thus preventing my worthless corpse from sleeping. then i can't wake up early enough or energetic enough for slavery (work). and i am always tired anyways.
