Somebody hit my aunt and I think it was my uncle?

I heard based on what my mom said on the phone (In Turkish) that she got hit, and I think it was by somebody in the family, but there's only my 10 year old girl cousin, and my uncle in her family. It was probably my uncle. And we come from a culture where if a man suspects that his wife is cheating, because she's hanging out with men or spending time with men or being alone with men, he can hit her.
