Another good BBQ place is Luling City Market in Luling, TX. Not far from Austin, but actually closer to San Antonio.

I like their sauce, it's in grocery stores here. But I could never bring myself to eat there. A lot of oil drilling goes on around Luling and the whole town reeks of that sulphur crude oil smell. I don't think I could get past the smell to eat anything there, no matter how good it is.

There's another good barbecue place here I forgot to mention- Ruby's (different from Rudy's). A very wierd, quintecentially Austin place. I call it 'hippie BBQ'. The brisket is "all-natural, range-free beef", whatever that means. And they have unusual sides like black beans, collard greens, mediterranian salad, and vegetarian jambalaya.

And for best Barbecue in the World - sausage division I nominate Meyers and the Southside Market, both in Elgin, Texas. For sausage there is none higher!
