I am not officially diagnosed, but I am gifted, have dysgraphia, visual dyslexia, light ADHD and, very likely, AS. Yet, I think they are all related to the fact that I am aspie.

I would think that would be the norm, actually.
I have been dx'ed with depression and a learning disability. My older child has ADHD, anxiety disorder, and a mild learning disability. My younger is anxiety, PDD-NOS, SID, and servre learning disabiled.
I personally think the anxietys and depression are a result of the others...
i have photophobia and phonophobia. often even rather dim light will bother me even when it isn't followed by a migraine. the phonophobia never goes away - i can't stand having to answer the phone, and hearing it ring makes me jump! i have earplugs all over the place to cut down on the overstimulation that noise causes.
AS, ADD, Depression, Fibromyalgia and gifted with various learning disabilities.
I think the ADD and the Depression are part and parcel of AS, so I rarely consider those things as separate. They were diagnosed separately, b/c AS was the last diagnosis I received.
I am an 'interesting' case, according to my doctors.
I have only been diagnosed with AS, and depression (not sure but I think everyone would agree that I am very depressed)
I do think I have got "something else" I just feel like there is something wrong with me. Proably something like ADD or bi-polar, or something else
Multiple disorders are the norm, I heard. This is because learning disabilities and PPDs usually make life significantly harder for the individual, causing a higher predisposition for depression.
Lord - I've been diagnosed with everything under the sun - but the ones I think are valid are:
AS
bipolar disorder (though I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't more major depressive disorder with occassional psychotic features)
dissassociative disorder
generalized anxiety disorder
But at various times in my life I've been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, and schizoid/schizotypal personality disorder . . .
