You constantly prepare yourself to get yelled at because of your failure with following verbal directions.

(though this applies to a whole bunch of things)

248RPA,

I feel this way, too. I know I deserve it sometimes, but it doesn't make it easier to take. It is harder simply because it's true. I hate myself for not having done certain things at my age.

Is it just me?

You may be an aspie if you can actually *hear* people's eyes glaze over! And after 50 years are just starting to recognize it as a signal that maybe you're over-sharing...

You don't understand how others don't jump like you do when a dog is barking loudly in the same room, and you jump whether you anticipate it or not expecting it.

YMBAAI if you obsessively read into every word your crush says to you, then realize he's most likely an Aspie too, and probably doesn't mean anything other than face value.....and then you continually alternate between those two options.

You might be an Aspie, if.....

.....it takes you HOURS to figure-out what errands you need to run, and in which order, etc.----and, by that time, you're so exhausted, you just stay home.

You Might be an Aspie if...

You go to your favorite place to eat, and . . .
- the cashier knows your order before you place it.
- another cashier sees your order and recognizes you from the order (and never had to look up to see you there)
- you're there so often the employees mistake you for the new guy

You Might be an Aspie if...

You've ever replied to the question "Turn here?" with "No, up at the corner"

If mentally going through your to-do list leaves you more tired than actually doing the things on the list. I'm actually okay once I get started.

If you say something that is ironic and don't realize, and then someone explains why it is ironic and you laugh out loud because it's actually pretty funny when you think of it like that! :D

...your family always gets annoyed when going hiking with you because you're constantly stopping to look at insects, fungi, tracks, interesting plants, etc. (But isn't that supposed to be part of going on a nature walk? What's the point of going out to enjoy nature if you can't stop to look at it?)

...fire alarms always startle you so badly that you're shaking for at least half an hour afterward.
