What are your thoughts on the recent Godzilla film?

While not a perfect movie, it certainly had amazing monster fights. And in place of the overhead shot of the monsters rampaging through the cities, we get to see them through the eyes of the human characters on the ground - that is, vision obscured by clouds of smoke and dust, often only catching glimpses of the gigantic titans at war.

I going to be honest, I'm in a Godzilla phase right now and this movie's the cause of it. I went to see it opening day to see why people liked Godzilla (I thought I might like it, too). I really liked the movie and decided to look up the other movies. I bought a box set that had a few Godzilla films to try out the series and loved those movies, too.

Personally I think the movie was good but not as great and epic as people say it is. It could have been a whole lot better. The human story lines were pretty flat and kinda lacked the dramatic feel that we were suppose to get and we don't see much of Godzilla and the crisis is more focused on the MUTOs than the G man.

I know where you're coming from. In fact, at times it felt like I'm watching a sequel to Pacific Rim.

I thought it was pretty good. Godzilla seemed like one of the good guys this time.

with destruction scenes, this movie turns from si-fi to an intense action movie. the atomic breath, the design, I think this movie and the 2018 Godzilla movie are going to make people ecstatatic :D 8O

It's a well made movie!
Though I wish it had a little less story and a little more monsters.
It's still over all one of the better Godzilla movies.

I can't wait to see what the Japanese 2016 Godzilla looks like...
