Talk about changes and adjustments! A few days ago we moved from Clark County, Nevada to Snohomish County, Washington. The two places couldn't be more different. Like two different planets. It was a really long drive in a U-Haul truck with my mom and dad. We took the lives of at least 5 rabbits :( Stupid things just love to run right in front of tires). But anyways really love it here. Cool and cloudy. I've visited my grandparents in Oregon lots of times, so it's not completely alien to me. I really love it here, but dealing with some adjustment anxiety.

Here's some pictures I took so far. Including the fireworks show at the marina.

Since you moved, do you miss your friends from your old home at all?

I lived in Reno for a while, and I loved the desert climate. It was like living on the moon with no atmosphere; 110 during the day and 40 at night, and both were comfortable because of the total lack of humidity. Best of all, because of the high elevation (despite Reno sitting in a basin), my lifelong sinus problems nearly disappeared while I was there.

The relaxed liquor laws were pretty sweet, too. :P

I don't know about the Northwest, but I'd move back to Nevada in a heartbeat if I could. Unfortunately, family issues f__ked everything up like they always do. :?

Oh, looks lovely there!! !

I lived in Washington for a time (Shelton, then Olympia, then Yelm)... favorite of all of the places I've lived.
I live in a pretty part of Missouri now, rivers, hills and trees and a little bit of prairie... but, it's got nothing on Washington.

I spent only a little time in the desert. It has a kind of beauty of it's own, but, I prefer cool and wet over any other weather.

My husband is from London and we both agree we'd prefer to settle in the northwest after our kids are grown.
