Hi, I'm trying to become a math tutor, and on some tutoring websites where I have set up my accounts, I can choose how much money I can charge students every hour. What would seem like a feasible salary for someone just getting into their first career?

I made $20 an hour as a tutor for young kids a couple of years ago.

If you're tutoring somebody for something like the SAT, I'd up it to at least $30 an hour.

If for something more advanced, maybe even $50 per hour.

It depends on the area, too. I know someone who tutors math in NYC, and she makes $100/hr. Of course, she is also a math teacher so she has qualifications.
