I've read posts on here about people saying CBT helps. If anyone here lives close enough to Watertown, MA (USA), AANE is having a CBT group for 8 weeks. You'd have to join AANE to join the group, but they will discount the membership fee if you can't afford the full fee ($50). Also, the workshop is $150 for the 8 weeks, but you might be able to make arrangements if you can't afford it.

Here's the info:

Quote:
AANE's Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Group for Young Adults* will begin Monday, September 29th for eight weekly sessions (See dates below). This group will focus on helping young adults* with Asperger Syndrome (AS) and related profiles continue to develop skills to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.

As part of participation, group members will identify and talk about their thoughts. We will ask group members to take brief notes between sessions about their experiences, including recording their moods and thoughts.

This is a closed group, which means participants will sign up for the entire series. There will be no drop-ins. The cost for the full eight sessions is $150. Participants are expected to attend all 8 groups, there will be no refunds for missed groups.

The group will run on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Dates:
September 29th
October 6th
(No group October 13th- Columbus Day)

*This group is intended for young adults with AS and related profiles who are between the ages of 18-30 (post high school). Participants must have a current AANE membership.
