Alex:

I appreciate the fact that you're such a nice guy even though I got frustrated once.

Alex,

If you'd like my help, I'd be happy to do what I can ::rolling up her cyber-sleeves:: I know just basic html and can possibly help with articles or forum moderation...just whatever you'd like. I don't know how much time I can spare but hopefully, at least an hour a day. Let me know because WrongPlanet is well worth the effort. This is a great place.

Hm. I might be interested in doing some PHP and HTML editing for the site... I've quite a bit of experience working with PHP code.

OK, I have some ideas on how to help, but I'm not sure exactly how much of this is already on the site, or is otherwise inappropriate.

There are a lot of questions, especially in the newbies part, that appear to address the following questions:

How do I get diagnosed? (This is addressed in the FAQ, but it might be nice to list actual names of clinics or doctors who can diagnose Asperger's Syndrome in adults, or at least a link to a Web site that supplies this info).
What are the advantages and disadvantages to getting diagnosed?
Are there any support groups near me?

This information can be in an FAQ, or maybe better yet, a sticky on the Getting to Know Each Other forum.

One Asperger's trait is that some Aspies have executive disorders; i.e., having trouble doing things sometimes, whether it's out of being overwhelmed, clueless on how to do things, logistics, forgetfulness, etc.

Would it be a good idea to have a Small Steps thread, where we can post some goals, small or otherwise, for the coming month, and have support in achieving these goals? I guess this could also be done by e-mail pen pals if the subject matter is too personal. I'm getting this idea mostly from the Barbara Sher boards, but I think it could be useful for Aspies. I think the Members Only forum would be the best place for this.

Short of that, I can contribute to the support functions, and if I ever get Dreamweaver reinstalled, I can do some HTML as well.

As an author myself, I would be willing to assist with the writing and poetry section.

Just out of curiosity, do you have to be on the site non-stop to be a moderator? Does it not leave you time for another job?
