I know it is a bit early in the season to contemplate Santa.

I believe in Santa for 13 reasons as I explain here.

I would like to know what you think about me.

early? right. after halloween, at the earliest. i see columns with wreath-vines, liquor stores with blue lights, an enormous imflatable snowman resides at the local Costco. (you know, because there's no such thing as snow here.)

many mall santas don't even have real beards. the one i sat with when i was 4 clearly had a fake one. maybe he shaved?

when i was 9 i asked santa for a telescope. i got it. why? because my parents overheard. were they supposed to wait outside while i sit on some random mans lap (this one had a real gray beard), and tell him about my material desires?

where do you mail santa? north pole, alaska? rovaniemi?

also, who's the guy with the blue hair?

There's Christmas stuff in the stores already, so I guess it's not to early to talk about Santa. Maybe the trick-or-treaters will sing us some carols if we promise them good candy. :)

Anyway, if Santa is real, why do poor people not get as many or as nice gifts as wealthy people?

Perhaps some of our taxes go to Santa, so that he can get paid.

Um, but I buy my relatives and friends and partner Christmas presents. And their other presents are from each other. So I don't think Santa comes to our house.

I wish airplanes would travel round the world as fast as Santa.

Where is the answer "I don't care"?
Santa might be real or not. Whatever. I don't believe in one because I never got what I wanted and my letters were rarely gone but that could be my fault since I was kinda testing Santa. I was putting letters where my parents couldn't find them (but Santa helpers easily could assuming they really were using window to get in) and wished for items my parents couldn't easily get but that shouldn't be a problem for Santa (such as a not expensive toy popular in another country but unavailable in shops near my city). Its possible Santa just didn't like being tested so he pretended to be my parents.

Oh, I don't believe in Santa either. I thought I just had to play along or something.

I was told by an older cousin that Santa wasn't real, when I was 9. This was in the summer. My older cousin just blurted it out and laughed about it, not realising that I still kind of believed in him. But I didn't make a fuss. I think I was old enough to suddenly realise the whole logic of it, and that it was just a thing to make Christmas so magical for little kids. I still had a loving family and plenty of presents for Christmas, so what does it matter?

Santa Claus exists as an idea, but he's still a dead Turkish priest in reality.
