Atheist. Definitely atheist. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I used to practice Judaism to an extent, at least as far as recognizing the holidays. However, around the time I realized I had Asperger's, I took a long, hard look at my life, and it dawned on me: what god would allow this? As a result, I completely renounced my faith.

Ironically, even though my faith is gone, my knowledge about Judaism and Israel remains. It can be quite helpful at times. Since it does not seem to be socially acceptable to be an atheist, I say I say I'm Jewish and talk about what I know when necessary.

BTW, did anyone else become an atheit/agnostic as a result of finding out about having Asperger's?

Roman Catholic (see avatar) with traditionalist leanings; I prefer the Tridentine Rite but do not insist on it.

I know how you feel, but if as a Christian if your parents are against what the Bible says, you have the right to disobey them and obey God.
