I saw this earlier today on the news. We're losing so many of the greats I started listening to when I was younger, so sad. R.I.P. Bruce

First I heard this news. He was my favourite bass guitarist after John Entwistle. Both now gone. So sad.

Yes, a great loss indeed ...

Sorry to see how few people actually know that he wrote (together with Pete Brown) the bulk of Cream songs ...

MOJO remarked that if Clapton is God, Bruce is a major deity ... well said

I remember watching that concert and trying to record it ... this was his best song from that concert. And a star cast with Clem Clempson on guitar & backing vocals, David Sancious on keyboards/guitar and Billy Cobham on drums.


I really enjoy it when I listen to a song like 'Pretty flamingo' by Manfred Mann and can hear him in the backing choir. He played bass on that one too.
