The Singing Detective is my favourite mini-series of all time. Just brilliantly written and beautifully acted. I love the pulp novel atmosphere in Marlow's headspace and the lingering dread and longing present in the 'real' timeline.

The Wire is my favourite all-time series. The strongest social commentary I've ever seen in a televised medium, and also the characters... so wonderfully rich.

A shout out to Dekalog too. Another brilliant mini-series, with each episode being loosely built on the ten commandments. So many episodes gut punch you emotionally.

Wrong title. That was the French series. I meant Resurrection.

Band of Brothers, The Pacific, The Men Who Built America, and Elizabeth I are terrific TV Miniseries.
