Does anyone know anything about what treatment is used for dyspraxia and apraxia (not the speech kind)?

Possibly dyspraxia I can share a bit - I have it with fine motor skills.

I think it's more maybe gross motor or motor planning or something. What is done for this?

Yes. There are many forms.

What helps: My former occupational therapist told me specifically, "Practice, practice, and more practice. The more you do, the easier it gets."

-physical therapy and/or occupational therapy, school accommodations...

They are thinking about some kind of treatment usually used for kids because I have practiced and do normal things.......but because I had to kind of figure it out in my head, it didn't come easily, and make myself do it, I am frequently hurting myself from awkward positions and movements and so I am wondering what the treatment is that is used for kids that they're now thinking about trying to do on me. What was it like, what did they do to help you?

I hope I'm not the only adult who has trouble figuring out where I am in space and how to move?

Me too. I actually have to be instructed on how to move sometimes. And I have a really hard time with bearings. I have both fine and gross motor skill dyspraxia and get occupational therapy for it. It's pretty much like a little kid is taught to do stuff. Like Lumi says, practicing the same stuff over and over. And also aptitude exercises like fitting different size pegs in holes and trying to improve how long it takes to finsh.

Is freezing in one position part of dyspraxia or is dyspraxia only difficulty figuring out how to move and get things done? I often stay in a bad position without realizing until I've gotten uncomfortable or even hurt myself.
