So... I was playing Tales of Phantasia, as it happens, and noticed at one point when in English a character said "I'm going to say Dhaos Dhaos"... and generally joked about repeating it... no explanatory note in English (I don't suppose the dub would change much?) - later to realize that a word that sounds like Dhaos in Japanese means 'defeat'... and since the antagonist was called Dhaos they wanted to say that they were going to defeat him...

So... obviously it wouldn't exactly be possible to translate that.

I was playing the 'undub' version, where the spoken scenes are in Japanese and text is in English.

(And thanks, although birthdays are irrelevant in my life...)
