Yes I do sometimes.

Even without dividers, I learnt how to keep foods from getting merged or getting it touch with each other for the entire meal.
And having rice as a staple food really helps it too overcoming something like this.

I always eat one thing at a time. Even in salads. From my least favorite to favorite

This reminds me: in fifth grade the teacher called me out in front of the entire class because I DARED to eat my Chex Mix one at a time during snack time! She said, "you need to start really eating instead of just picking out the ones you like!"

Another time I was eating my chips, one at a time, in another classroom and that teacher made me physically put the chip back into the bag because I'd taken too long to eat.

Childhood was a simpler time. Or was it?

Always one at a time. I've had people say to me "aren't you going to eat that?" Or "don't you like such and such". No, it's because I'm going through each section lol.

That's the one thing I've always done. Cram my food down as fast as possible.

I got in the bad habit of eating that way in the army when they herded us into the mess hall and ordered us to clean our plates in less than 3 minutes and then get the hell out. took me years to break myself of that.

definitely not healthy to cram food like that. But, it's what I do. I do not know why.

No, it's the only thing that seems natural to me. I've tried eating more slowly, it doesn't work. The only time I can 'eat slowly' is when I'm full and piddling with the leftovers.

I got into the habit of taking a sip of liquid [for me it is a mix of stevia and lemon juice in water] between each bite. and also remembered to chew at least 10 times before swallowing. that helped a bit.

I've tried that sort of thing. But it just doesn't feel right. I can't explain it.

a change of habit feels mightily dislocating for a good long time, until one day you discover you don't notice it anymore, it feels normal again. my fingers are still getting used to playing a guitar, one of these days they'll get used to it. took me a while to change my diet and eating style also, it was VERY dislocating and I felt grumpy for a good long time until one day it became normal.

Maybe true. For now, I gots real big things to take care of first. And, my eating has been so sparse for the last 15 or so months, it's a bit moot for the time being. :(
