I sometimes do because I don't get a lot of response anymore. Use to get a few pages of responses but now I barely got any not to be selfish or anything.

Also once because of a certain user.

I stopped posting on WP back in February, and only started posting again when someone asked, "What ever happened to Fnord?"

I remember, back when I was on here practically all the time, many of my topics for pages of replies, sometimes up to 7 or 8 pages.

I might feel like "taking a break" once in a while--but I'll never totally "leave" WrongPlanet.

I find that you're getting a pretty good amount of responses, Jeni.

More than I get, usually LOL

There have been times that I took little breaks here and there. There were also times when I was so bothered by certain threads attacking special interests that I was on the verge of leaving. I did leave for a couple of weeks after I was attacked in The Haven in a thread that I've started, talking about an ableist man that was living in my building at the time, even though he wasn't suppose to be there.

Jen, I imagine a lot of people read your posts and like what you post, but don't have anything to contribute to the discussion, so don't respond. It doesn't mean that they don't like you posting, or that you should stop posting.

I kind of did once because of all the trolling and negativity about Asperger's on the internet in general was really getting me depressed, and some of the stuff said on WP scared me, like that the government secretly wants to kill all people with autism or Asperger's and one day it will be like WW2 where they'll force us into gas chambers because they see us as sub-human and worthless. And then there was that link to a fake Christian Extremist site that said people with Asperger's are all evil and emotionless psychopaths like Jeffery Dahmer who need to be killed and burn in hell. Apparently this was just a parody making fun of bigoted Bible-thumpers in general, but I thought it was real and was miserable and crying until I saw the tiny print somewhere on the site. I was a bit relieved but didn't think it was funny at all, but aspies aren't supposed to "get" humor, so...

Someone did send me a personal message saying I should stay. I don't think I'll ever leave because this is one of the few places where I feel like I'm allowed to be myself. :)
