But yes, OP, I also have trouble following most films, unless it's a good classic (for me that means easy to follow) and just get bored and start thinking of other stuff.

I really liked One flew over cuckoo's nest, Back to the future, The shining, and many others. Obsessed with them kinda, too.
I cannot stand that new CGI sci-fi crap of today, no way. Too flashy and plot nearly non-existent.
