Does anyone remember Magnavox Odyssey 1

When did Magnavox Odyssey 1 Began

We are talking about Magnavox Odyssey 1 Console stop giving me opinions


What year did Magnavox Odyssey 1 actually began?
And what year did Magnavox Odyssey 1 actually End?

I know of it. There was an article about it in Retro Gamer a couple of years ago and an interview with the guy who designed it. It's thought to be the first ever games console.

1980 is when I first started seeing ads for the Odyssey. Their game graphics were a little but better than the Atari 2600 systems. The Colecovision systems that I started to see in 1982 were better still, but most of the old game systems were gone by 1984.

I think you're confusing it with another system. It was released in 1972 but design began as early as 1966:

Maybe you were thinking of the Odyssey 2. The original Odyssey was quite primitive. It didn't even have a CPU, it was composed of discrete logic chips. For a long time I thought it was analog, but it turns out it wasn't. http://web.archive.org/web/200602131413 ... temID=1049
