Took it a couple times years ago.

Got around 100 for each (NT, and ASD), and it declared that it was ambiguous as to which category I was in.

But then I got officially dx'd as aspie by a specialist.

It's calibrated to the AQ so the Aspie + neurotypical results basically mean that there's enough suspicion of Asperger's to warrant a diagnosis.

my test doesn't make any sense ...

Image

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 97 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 96 of 200
You seem to have both neurodiverse and neurotypical traits

Aspie score: 119
NT score: 106
I think I'm fine with my score...I guess it has something more to do with what your comfortable with... :D

Last time I took it was the final 4 version and I got 119 neurodiverse and 102 NT so I got in the middle which I felt was accurate because I have always felt too normal to be different but too different to be normal. Plus the graph was towards the middle instead of spread out so it was nearly even for both sides.

Oh yes...the middle... I've always had a personal bias on being in the middle...not too smart not too dumb either...not rich but not poor...not too good but not too bad, average... Moderate... and so on... :D

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 150 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 75 of 200
You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

My biggest issue with this test is the durn sex questions. WAY too many. What's missing are questions which address the following traits:

Rigidity
Food sensitivity
Single-mindedness
Extreme focus on narrow subjects
Extreme propulsion to complete tasks
Excellent rote memory
Collecting, categorizing and compartmentalizing things
Alternative ways of playing with familiar toys
Libraries vs nightclubs
Quietude vs noise
Aversion to social events like funerals, weddings, Christmas parties, etc.
Logic over emotion
Difficulty understanding sarcasm
Small talk
Unique diet
Unique dress style
Extreme creativity

My husband was too smart for special ed but too dumb for regular ed. His exact words. Sure special ed helped him but kids in there were more disabled than he was and more cognitive impaired and limited so he felt even worse about himself. I didn't feel anything because I didn't know any different and I didn't even notice other kids were more impaired than me because they all seemed normal. I didn't even know what normal was. But he didn't mimic kids in his class like I did so I do see a big difference. He didn't fit in anywhere.

I think that was why I scored low this time and high in NT this time because of all the sex/relationship questions. I am married and my husband and I do have sex sometimes.

Why do test such as these ask the same questions, just reworded differently? Do they think we are incapable of realizing this?

I've done this several times and always get a similar score.

I got my mother to complete it this time and received the following results:

Neurodiverse: 81/200
Neurotypical: 107/200

I've always felt out of place around Neurotypicals and Neurodiverse so this result ties up well for me.
