How do we know the flat Earth is round, and not rectangular, or even odd-shaped?

It has to be some sort of quadrilateral. The bible mentions the four corners of the earth in revelations 20:8.

It's a legitimate question.

20:8 mentions the four quarters of the Earth. 7:1, on the other hand:

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the Earth, holding the four winds of the Earth, that the wind should not blow on the Earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Lots of the Bible is metaphor. Even people with great faith in Christianity would say that.

I see the verses you mentioned as metaphor.

The earth is a modified sphere.

You round earthers are all alike!
Spouting your indefensible ideologically based opinions!

Anyone who doesnt instantly 100 percent agree with me that the earth is flat (and agree with me on everything else) is either an egotistical doo doo head, or they're a dupe of the media conspiracy being run by egotistical doo doo heads!

Who made you the official interpreter of the bible that you get to decide what is metaphor and what is not?

I haven't decided anything, sir. I just expressed my opinion, which I'm entitled to.

Plenty of legitimate Biblical scholars, actually, contradicting the fundies who take everything in the Bible literally.

If you recall, Jacob used a rock in place of a pillow.

I once met a Young Earth Creationist who believed that Noah's flood was a real historical event and that the Garden of Eden not only was a real place, but it still exists in the world, completely intact.

I've met several of them, as a matter of fact. Thankfully, most I've met were relatively harmless.
