Please help. If a Blueray player is connected to a router and you go to many sites on the Internet, do you get viruses on your player??

Generally no. The ROM embedded OS that BlueRay DVD Players, DVR's, and many other 'Network Appliance' type electronics use is usually Linux or BSD based, and the CPU archetecture is not x-86, and most often ARM based RISC like a cellphone. --Like a cellphone, the end user usually does not have root access to the ROM.
