Cats-still my number one interest! (For some reason, Siamese cats in particular were an interest of mine ever since I was very small. My first Siamese, Samantha, came into my life when I was in high school and was my best friend for 20 years.)

Horses-I loved horses when I was in early elementary school.

Dogs-dachshunds were my favorites

Medical topics-I became interested in reading the Reader's Digest Family Health Guide and Medical Encyclopedia when I was in third grade.

Astronomy/the planets-also third grade

World Cultures-Japan and Greece were the two countries, other than my birthplace, Germany, I began researching in depth. This began when I was in sixth grade.

In high school, when I was taking Spanish, Spain and Argentina were countries I researched in detail.

You were well-rounded. I only wish I was so well-rounded when I was in third grade.

I was obsessed with horses from the ages of four to twelve. It wasn't the usual horse obsession you see in girls; it was far more intense. It got to the point around the age of eight that my mom was genuinely worried and talked to a doctor about it, asking if it was necessary for her to intervene. Luckily, that doctor told her to let me be and grow out of the obsession naturally. I also latched onto salt once when I was around nine, but that was short-lived.

Mythology
Even took a college class on the subject.
I love when the category pops up on Jeopardy.

Some might say Superheroes are the myths of today.

Cats, for years cats were my everything. Then after finding out ancient Egyptians worshipped cats, I was obsessed with ancient Egypt as well. Throw in some WallE and Bolt, and that's the sum of my childhood obsessions.
Did any one else envy WallE's collection of random things? It was the best thing ever.

As a child, I was obsessed with ladybugs, The Olympics, computers, The Dukes of Hazard and cars.
