It says on the main page that WP has a blogging feature. I saw it in My Account before everything changed, but now it's nowhere to be found. I'm wondering if I'm missing it somewhere, or if it was gotten rid of for some reason.

Send a PM to Alex or one of the mods. That feature may still be in development.

It may come as part of the second round of conversion. Alex has not mentioned anything regarding the blogging feature but has specified that various profile options and representations will be re-implemented.
