What is your opinion, Brother Kyle?

All right, I thought. I could do without the oversized slobbering puppy for sure.

House With A Clock In Its Walls

Intended for a younger audience, but I enjoyed it. I read the book a long time again, but can't remember details. I do remember when I saw the trailer, I recognized it as a John Bellairs story.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

It was a double feature day for me. I also enjoyed this movie. Slappy the ventriloquist dummy returns. It was not intended to be a Jack Black day, who is featured in both films. Like the first Goosebumps movie, R.L. Stine makes a cameo appearance.

Austin Powers International Man of Mystery.
A groovy little gem of a film.

Wise Blood. A 1979 John Huston film starring Brad Dourif. I'd never seen it before but I've read the Flannery O'Connor short novel by the same name it's based off of. I saw it streaming on Youtube without being voice altered or only seeing half of the screen.

Apostle

I saw this graphic horror flick on Netflix. It was a pretty good film but tragically weakened by the hammy, open-mouthed, wide-eyed stares of the lead actor.

As did I. Many have said the ensemble cast made it worth sitting through despite the runtime being 2 1/2 hours.

Korean double feature - The Yellow Sea and The Chaser

Both were violent crime thrillers. I preferred The Yellow Sea but I thought it was a little hard to follow sometimes because of its complexity and greater number of characters. The Chaser also had that annoying Korean trope - scenes where characters cry real hard to sappy background music. Ugh!

I'd also pass on this one. Lots of better movies to see.
