Last night we watched:

Blade Runner 2049 [2017]
<=>"The key to the future is finally unearthed."

WOW!yesyesV E R YyesR E C O M M E N D E Dyes

Wonderful. Visually stunning. Incredible sound track. Great cast. The "worst" thing about it is you really should watch Blade Runner first.

If possible, between the movies also watch shorts: Blade Runner: Black Out 2022, 2036: Nexus Dawn, and 2048: Nowhere to Run.

The Student Nurses - 1970

Believe it or not a socio/political exploitation film.

Issues dealt with were rape, the plight of Mexican-American, police discrimination, abortion (pre Roe v. Wade), LSD, and even a little bit of Vietnam. while having the gratuitous close-up nude and sex scenes required of the genre.

And it was directed by a woman at a time that was unheard of.

The acting by no-name actors was wooden a the "style" of the film is dated not in a nostalgic but a cringy way.

This has become a cult film, while I can't say it was good, or even so bad its good, it was interesting and is worth the $3 dollars and the 1 hour and 22 minutes of your time.

Stardust (1974)

The sequel to the previous year's That'll Be The Day. David Essex again plays popstar Jim MacLaine as he rises to meteoric fame, then crashes and burns, ending up dying from a drug overdose. The film has its faults, but if you're interested in 1960s and 1970s British pop and rock history, you can't go far wrong with this.

Initially, MacLaine's band 'The Stray Cats' are clearly The Beatles in the mid-1960s, with Essex as a cleanish-cut Paul McCartney character. He then goes through a bizarre Jim Morrison type solo phase, when he appears in an overblown and overhyped 'rock opera', and he ends up as a washed up recluse in Spain, looking very like a confused version of Dudley Moore.

Adam Faith co-stars as the band's manager - he's well worth watching in this. There's also Larry 'Dallas' Hagman as an obnoxious, overbearing American promoter, and a certain Ines Des Longchamps as MacLaine's French girlfriend-cum-muse. I wonder what became of her, she seems to have disappeared without trace after appearing in this film.

Last night I watched:

Ender's Game [2013]
<=>"This is not a game"

Well-executed and based upon an excellent written work. And I confess that when I first saw the movie I was unaware of the 1985 novel, I wanted to see the movie because I'd read the the 1977 short story and remembered how good it was.

Naturally yes RECOMMENDED yes

The Fablemans-2022

A semi-Autobiographical account of Steven Speilberg's growing up in his somewhat dysfunctional middle-class Jewish family between 1952 and 1964.

Last night I watched:

The Amazing Transparent Man [1960]
<=>"Invisible and Deadly!"

Tolerable stinker. But, it perhaps helps that it is only 58 minutes long.

I watched the Fabelmans a movie about the life of my favorite movie director Steven Spielberg. I also love how John Williams composed music to all of his movies. I love all of Steven Spielbergs movies. -Jim Mavity III

Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham.

Batman, his enemies and friends, are reimagined in a 1920's Gotham, where the city is threatened by a Lovecraftian horror. Pretty decent animated DC movie.
