Last night I watched:

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein [1948]
<=>"Jeepers! The creepers are after Bud and Lou!"

Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula wants to put a new brain into Frankenstein's monster and Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolfman wants to stop him.

By the way, the brain Dracula wants to use is Lou Costello's! 8O

Good movie.

Trivia: This movie is the second and final time Lugosi played Count Dracula.

This morning, steamed on Peacock TV.

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)

A classic, and the version of the monster that the Aurora Frankenstein model was based on.

The Raven (1935)

Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Like any movie titled The Raven, the connection to the Edgar Allen Poe poem is thin. Although there is a 2012 version I have not seen.

I have both on DVD, so I have a tiny bit of guilt using up bandwidth to stream it. On the other hand, I didn't have to use my DVD/Blu-Ray player and use electricity for that. But mostly, the movies were just there, and I'm lazy. So, I clicked on them.

I use to think Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein was the low point in the Universal classic monsters, but it is actually a good movie.

I watched two RiffTrax movies this morning.

Night of the Lepus (1972)

One of the Nature vs Humans films of the 1970s. Rabbits. Giant mutant Rabbits. Not terrible, but not Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds either. It did not star Tippi Hedren, but it did have Janet Leigh (Psycho).

Octaman (1971)

Low budget. $250,000.
Make up artist Rick Baker's first job. He designed the Octaman's suit. He was 21 years old. Very low budget.
$1000 of the budget went to Rick Baker as payment.

Both horror films were made funny by Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy. Octaman was from a live event.

The Killer Inside Me.

A small town cop with a boy scout reputation indulges in his hidden dark side after he becomes involved with a prostitute and her blackmail scheme. Very good dark crime drama.

In light of recent news. I watched "all eyez on me" a biopic about Tupac Shakur his rise to fame and eventual death. This is my first time watching it

The movie itself was only just passable, the writing really let's it down. Some of the dialogue I found laughable when it wasn't meant to be a joke

I don't regret watching it though, seeing the behind the scenes of some of Tupacs greatest hits was a pleasurable experience. Even if it may have been overdramatised for the production value

6/10 I'm glad I watched it, but will likely never watch it again

The title sounds familiar. It seems like it could be good movie.

War of the Worlds (1953)

To be honest, I'm still watching this. It's on Comet TV. I've seen it several times before over that last fifty-five years. It's a great film. The special effects are flawless, in my opinion. My can be flawed, but I believe it won an Oscar for visual effects. It was produced by George Pal, famous for his Puppetoons. I did not realize that Cecil B. DeMille was the executive producer. He is uncredited in the film. Also uncredited was Marcel Delgado. He created the miniatures. The physical aliens are the one weakness in the special effects. They looks stiff. Although, I always liked that the mechanical eye echoed the creature's eye with red, green, and blue lenses.

They Live. One of John Carpenter's best.

We lost Piper too soon.

It was a good movie, but I don't know how I feel about it in terms of the other movies. The traps/gore weren't like, the best. It's not bad though and I know it's "different" because it focuses more on John Kramer (the Jigsaw killer) than the victims. My favourite trap was the trap where the guy gets his eyes vacuumed out, but it was the first trap and i
I have a "thing" with eye gore so it got the most of a reaction out of me, and it wasn't even as bad as I expected. It gave me so much anxiety though so 7/10 for that one. lol

I haven't seen that one yet nor Spiral.

I think I might enjoy Saw X on the same level as I enjoyed Saw VI.

A greedy bastard getting what he deserved. He had an opportunity to stop the madness before it began, but his bottom line was more important.

The scammers will get it too. All scammers deserve their unfortunate fate.
