Tales Of Ordinary Madness.

This is a Fathers Day present from my wife. Based loosely on the very autobiographical fiction of Charles Bukowski about a womanizing alcoholic poet and writer, this film captures Bukowski with his alcoholism, rage, despair, and how he was his own worst enemy, better than other films based on him and his works. Very highly recommended.

The Secrets of Dumbledore. Despite lots of elaborate CGI it was lackluster.

The Birth of a Nation

An excellent, historically accurate biopic about Nat Turner's Slave Rebellion.

Well worth a watch!

Lamb.

Icelandic horror film where an isolated farm couple, after having lost their daughter, Ada, adopt a strange, half human, half sheep child they call Ada. When the sheep mother tries to steal the child back, the wife kills it. Even when the ne'er-do-well brother-in-law shows up, he ends up falling in love with Ada. But no one expects it when Ada's biological father returns for her...
More creepy than out-and-out terrifying, and with genuine anxiousness for the family and their love for their strange foundling, it might not be for all horror film fans, but I enjoyed it.

We're half-way through Pretty in Pink.

I've never seen it before.

It's so funny that the high school boys all look 30 years old, and the girls dress like geriatric realtors.

Oh wow. Now Andy and that rich boy say they love each other? LMAO.

They've never even had a conversation other than debating whether or not they can be seen together.

Was high school really like that?

I was a teen in the 80s but somehow missed the boat.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

First rate superhero movie where Dr. Strange must protect a teenage girl with the ability to cross between universes from an unlikely villain. Highly recommended.
