Yesterday I thought I would try to suggest a movie from our collection that was appropriate for Easter...but I don't know that we have one on that theme so I noted to her that we do have movies with bunnies! I was thinking she might like:
          :albino:, :albino:, or :albino:
And I was kind of hoping "we" didn't pick:
          :albino: or :albino:
The bunnies are hyperlinks!

Before I started talking about specific movies, however, she chose:

I love my bride!

News Of The World.

A former Confederate army captain travels around Texas a few years after the Civil War, reading newspaper stories for audiences, when he happens upon a German American girl who had been raised by Native Americans, before her second family had been murdered. Getting little help from the occupying Union army, he attempts to bring her to her only known relatives. Along the way, vicious outlaw elements try to seperate them. Some might consider this movie slow, but it's a first rate western, and highly recommended.

This week we watched our way through the Skyline trilogy

Skyline

A low budget science fiction film, sort of. It was filmed almost completely at the condo of one of the producers. IMDb estimates filming cost $500,000...but that there was also about $10,000,000 of digital effects! There isn't much story but the digital effects are good.

Beyond Skyline

This movie is a bigger budget production than Skyline but still just a routine so-so Science Fiction film. From what IMDb says, I gather it did poorly in the box office.

Skylines

This is the first film in the trilogy that is good enough to be a good, solid B-movie. Yet it was released in December 2020 so it, predictably, appears to have done poorly.

It would be quite reasonable to feel sorry for my bride for having those three movies inflicted on her except then she responded with:

Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical 8O

I admit the movie showcased a lot of excellent talent. What a waste!

And, yes, our movie collection might be considered odd.
