This past weekend we watched a movie duet:

The Addams Family [1991]
<=>"Creepy. Kooky. Spooky. Ooky."

Addams Family Values [1993]
<=>"Creepier. Kookier. Spookier. Ookier."

I don't think they are quite as good as the original TV series but I'll freely admit that opinion could be biased by a sentimental liking of the TV series—where Gomez and Morticia were perhaps TV's greatest romantic couple. The movies are good, very respectful of the TV series, and fun! And these are easily by far the best Addams Family movies I have seen.

RoboCop (1987)

Watched the last half hour on Comet TV.

RoboCop Murphy declares he cannot kill an officer of the law. Then officer bad guy Dick Jones grabs "The Old Man" as a hostage. The Old Man tells Dick that he's fired, and for some reason, I found the series of images that followed really funny. Don't know why. Oh. I do. It is so over the top.

Kurtwood Smith (That '70s Show), Ray Wise (West Side Story or Twin Peaks), Paul McCrane (seen him before, here and there) all play over enthusiastic bad guys. They enjoy their work. They like their guns.

RoboCop 2 (1990)

Again, the villains love their job. Tom Noonan is in it. He is an actor I've seen in a variety of things. I always recognize him, but until now never looked him up.

Watched this on Comet TV.

I love these two movies! Wednesday Addams was my childhood hero for this scene alone. 8)

RoboCop 3 (1993)

On Comet TV

I really enjoyed seeing so many familiar actors.
I was going to say the visual effects were 1990s adequate, but then I read that Tippett Studios did them. Phil Tippett can do no wrong... Seriously, they were adequately good. But it was 1993, what were state of the art effects like in 1993? Oh. Jurassic Park, effects by Industrial, Light, and Magic with Phil Tippett. RoboCop 3 probably did not have the same budget.

CCH Pounder good guy - Over the years, I have enjoyed seeing her in movies and on television more and more. Whether as a judge in L.A. Law or as Carolyn Maddox on Law & Order: SVU, or Mrs. Frederic in Warehouse 13.

Daniel von Bargen good guy - I immediately recognized this actor from Malcolm in the Middle as Commandant Spangler.

John Castle bad guy - I'm not sure I would have recognized him in the movie, but I recognized the name. I know as Detective Inspector Craddock in Miss Marple with Joan Hickson. Craddock is such a plesant character.

Stephen Root bad guy - I know him from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Pushing Daisies, and The West Wing. Also, his does a lot of voice work, like Adventure Time.

Rip Torn He's been in a lot of stuff.

Last night we watched:

Alice's Restaurant [1969]
<=>"Every Generation Has A Story To Tell."

I'd managed, up to this point, to never see the movie but she picked it as a Thanksgiving movie. (In the U.S. it will be Thanksgiving this Thursday.)

And now I will try to avoid the movie in the future. There's nothing really wrong about it but it is not the kind of movie I favor. And I'm talking about the movie. Living through the events in the movie would be horrifying for me...really, really not my style.

I love both of them.

My family and I enjoyed it very much. :)

Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum had great chemistry with the movie
having great screwball elements to it.
