I saw that in the theater. Interesting take on Romeo and Juliet.

The Sixth Sense, which I liked, even if I've known about the twist sinse forever.

And The Exorcist.
Which I found kind of boring actually.

The Evil Clergyman.

Based on the very short story by H.P. Lovecraft of the same name. Appearance by Brown Jenkins, from Dreams In The Witch House, and reference to Rats In The Walls. Surprised that I actually liked it.

Sounds good

That is a good film.

Yesterday I noticed one of the local broadcast stations was going to show Earth Girls Are Easy [1988] and mentioned to my bride that I'd never seen it. She promptly declared we were going to watch it.

A gap in my "education" has now been filled.

I did not expect the musical numbers. I sort of expected Jeff Goldblum to look young but, WOW!, Jim Carrey looked unbelievably young!

And, overall, the movie was the kind of fun I expected.

Amityville Horror.

I was sure I'd seen it before, maybe around 1980, but it didn't seem familiar at all. Maybe I read the book instead of watching it? I definitely did one of the two when I was younger but it didn't ring any bells.

As usual I didn't find it scary. I really liked the beginning but by the time the "horror" started, I lost interest.

I think I'm hyposensitive for horror movies.

I also watched The Conjuring 2 recently. Meh. Great build up. Then stupidity.

I thought the first one was pretty stupid and overrated.

I'm hitting up Rosemary's Baby now.

I'm sure I read it around 1980 as well. I can't remember if I've seen it.
