Fast Color (2018)

Watched on Netflix.
A woman, her mother, and her daughter have abilities. It was a good story. The acting was good. It left me wondering if this was a pilot for a television show? IMDB has a television series listed, but it is "in development." Is it? Or did COVID get in the way. Time for research...

If you like X-Men or the televisions Alphas or Heroes, you would probably enjoy this.

It leaves Netflix December 10, 2022.

Research complete.
I found this on Wikipedia about the series.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_Color#Television_series wrote:
Television series

As of 2019, a TV series based on the film was in development at Amazon Studios. The show is set to be produced by Viola Davis and Julius Tennon's company JuVee Productions, with the return of the film's writers Julia Hart and Jordan Horowitz. However, as of January 2022, no further information about a forthcoming series has materialized.

I'm guessing COVID interrupted things. Regardless, a series would just let me down, just like Heroes and the cancellation of Alphas did. The movie is good as is.

Netflixable? Superheroines with “Fast Color” can’t save this sluggish tale

(The article says it was slow moving. I did not find it slow moving at all. Maybe visually verbose. :) )

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Day the Earth Froze

I enjoyed the 1959 movie. It was a pleasant fairy tale. The MST3K riffing and skits were funny.

It occurred to me this morning that anything on MST3K is a television episode with a movie as a backdrop. I'm torn if these should be posted under Recently Seen Movies, or TV Episodes You Have Just Watched. On the other hand, I really don't need to document what I watch at all, although I do enjoy it.

I vaguely remember seeing this with my ex-wife when it came out. I agree. I remember it being very good. I should look it up and watch it again.

Last night we watched:

The Lone Ranger [2013]
<=>"Never Take Off the Mask"

Well-made fun movie! We enjoyed it.

If you can remember it is make-believe and ignore the off-screen side-stories: Recommended.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Enjoyed this. Good cast and great acting. Had goosebumps when the old crew showed up!

A Trip to Infinity (2022)

It was a fun documentary.

Internet Movie Database description wrote:
Can we experience the infinite? The world's most modern scientists and mathematicians embark on a search for the infinite and its amazing effects on the universe.

It really is more thoughtful and fun than that description.
