thanks to a nifty update to the wp software about which i still have mixed feelings on, i can now have a 'nickname' woot. mine is "tavierai" and is pronounced like

ta-vEE-rai. or [ˈtaviɾaɪ].

Okay, I'm not sure how to pronounce that. Google isn't helping.

d͡ʒ = the hard sound in jamboree or george. æ = the vowel in land (in my dialect of american english, anyway  )

and when i'd say "Reticent", by itself i'd pronounce the final 't' like a 't', but here where it's been followed by 'jaeger' i've been dropping the final 't'.

"Reticin". like "medicine".

in retrospect, my pronunciation sounds stupid! i like yay-gur better now.

mé·lange-y
māˈlänj/ ee
Ma-lahn-she

It's the spice from Dune, as "Melange," but that was taken so I added the "she" sound to the end with the feminine "y."

That's pretty! For some reason I had been reading it like "philanges."

Thank you!

I laughed for minutes at the phalanges comparison, mostly because I became obsessed with those in dogs and would tell everyone I met about them. I was about 12. I'm 30 now and just got diagnosed with AS. Yeeeeahhhh.

Don't worry, I've been a clinic aspie for 23 years and I just found out there is a community for this a week ago. Now you're name will always sound like phalanger synth, like the mode of electronic bypass made by a Moog Synthesizer. It's the electronic bypass that allows for heavy, two-tone bass lines right after "drops".
