Lately I'm having trouble staying positive. I have a very self esteem. I just think I'm a failure. Any advice on how I can feel more positive?

Stop thinking about negative things. If you catch yourself doing it just stop.

You might think it can't be done but it can.

Stop listening to the BS people tell you.

Are you going to school or college now?

Get "Mind Over Mood: Change How You Feel by Changing the Way You Think". It's based on CBT, which has a lot of good science behind it.
Other than for socializing I've been very optimistic so I can't speak personally about it. A friend with clinical depression said it is a good book.

I'm at sixth form which in the UK is the last two years of compulsory education. My dream right now is to go to University to study Anthropology, I just hope I get there.

Paleoanthropology, especially Neanderthal Man, used to be my "Special Interest" when I was in junior high.

Good luck in your A-levels! What will you do you A-levels in?

I actually originally went to college for Paleoanthropology, unfortunately it becomes a very writing intense major so I changed over to Geology.

I'd say find some form of media that boosts your mood. Like a song, clip from a show, or even a quote
