I think my cats (they're both males), although they are not very fond of being picked up, tolerate it...

I used to have a beautiful cat named Milo, and he was SO gentle. I loved him so much. He got hit by a car.

I get so upset with cats dying...and people commiting suicide...
If I can have a dream planet of my own, I would have all the cats that were abused/killed or needs healing come over and make a haven for cats...and do healing work...

I get really upset as well. They don't deserve an early death.

Well, get the photos onto the computer first, than go to imageshack.us, and upload them to that sight, and get the URL from it. I hope that makes sense. :)

Thanks Starbuline.. He cut his paw the other day and was bleeding. I was so upset, but then he stayed relaxed for a while and then he was fine. It was as if he was consciously letting himself heal...I took a look at his paw and it was healed...I think cats heal quickly...

Good on people for going to an animal shelter.. those are the pets that lose out, because pet shop cats get sold regardless..

Yeah. My mom's cat Tasha got into a big fight not too long ago, and she had a deep cut on her neck. It healed very quickly!

Starbuline,

So sorry to hear about Milo. One of our ferals got hit by a car. He was such a sweet little guy.

Sunnycat,

Your boy is quite handsome and photogenic! He looks a lot like my boy, Peter.

I have a guy cat that absolutely freaking hates being picked up, also he happens to be neutered. Perhaps he is resentful. :o

I had a male un-neutered american short haired cat, named Tiger. He liked being held and riding on my shoulders. He was later hit by a car. But he was old and slow when he died, so it wasn't unexpected. I now have another male cat, named Obi, which I think might be Tiger's offspring. He's alot like Tiger, only he also likes to rub against my legs. I've accidently steped on his paw numerous times, but he still sometimes does it. I think that Russian Blues don't particularly like being handled. They are more autistic, like us.

An even better option (if you live in the city) is to take in abandoned but still loose cats. Some people just let their pet out onto the street to fend against all of the feral cats.
