I never memorized the whole multiplication table. Instead I figured out tricks for many of them.

5 * a = (a / 2) * 10
Divide the number in two, then times it by 10 instead of 5.

9 * a = ((a - 1) * 10) + (9 - (a - 1))
Take the number minus 1 and times it by 10. Then take the number in the tens and figure out how much you'd need to add to get to 9, and that's what's in the 1s. (9 times anything under 11 always has two digits that add up to 9. Above that, they always add to a multiple of 9.)

8 * a = ((2 * a) * 2) * 2
Take the number and times it by 2, then times it by two again, and then times it by 2 a third time.

I'm slightly slower at answering, but it was a lot more fun.

It is something that can be expected from anybody with a very high IQ like yours.
It is genetic and because of your brain wiring.

Albert Einstein apparently had similar problems.

Far too much emphasis is placed upon IQ across these messaging boards, and I speak as a man who has had debilitating thought patterns that pertain to this subject in the past.

I have even seen some posters adding their 'results' in the signature box.

How exactly do you quantify your own level of intelligence?

For instance, I scored 75 on one IQ test, yet 151 on another.

Am I perilously close to being intellectual ret*d then?

Or am I a genius?

Or perhaps - and most likely - neither of the two?

True, jake. I could score 160 on one then 3 on the next. :king:

I would like to talk to people with IQ of 160 and higher because I believe that they could be able to solve certain types of problems that I have been unable to.

Maybe you could all work together on that age old problem of shoe-lace tying ....

You took the words out of my mouth .... I always test at a very high level ( which I find reassuring ) BUT some IQ tests have a memory element which seems ridiculous as some like myself have a ridiculously poor memory ( short and long term) so we we at a massive disadvantage in those IQ tests .

Not all moderately autistic people have lower IQ. Also just because you can't do paperwork for bills, etc and need support, doesn't make you less intelligent.
