What do you mean by end all invention? Do we mean a pinnacle of all knowledge that can never be surpassed? The invention of all? Or do we mean merely an end to progress?

Both are feasible pionts....

Anitgravity to end all inverntion

or smething simple like a new machine like in Irobot (but the piont in Irobot is that now the robots are the inventors)

I would have all the appropriate technology avaliable then prevent anymore inventing.

It could be a Doomsday Device which ends all life on earth, and thus invention by humans. So, not that.

Or, it could be something so great that no more invention was needed. I don't know whether that's good or bad. I hope that it doesn't exclude art. If so, I don't think you would see art go away.
