wow..that's depressing.
Dealing with social stress is what I do for a living.

Actually, this isn't news! According to what is apparantly the most popular main theory, the hippocampus is REBUILT from glial cells! What is no longer agreed on is if these are the original glial cells, or if they can be regennerated themselves. BTW this is about the only theory that agrees with a relatively new theory, that short term memories are NOT moved into long term memory, but that the short term memory neurons become longterm.

ANYWAY, I have had a TON of stress! My short term memory DOES recover.

BTW it isn't SOCIAL stress! It is just plain old stress(social or not).

"Socialness" is the root of most of my stress...
my short term memory is dismal.
