Though I am very grateful for such sites, personally, I struggle with the names - WrongPlanet/WrongVillage. Specifically their negative reinforcement that being autistic means this planet is the wrong place. I totally understand feeling alien in this world but in my books, it is the right home for every life form born on it. It's just society needs to evolve it's ways and be more accepting of neurodiversity. I prefer to focus on the positives I guess and claim this world as the right one, for everyone.
I agree with you 100% but the truth is we are outliers (what else is new
) in feeling that way here. In October of last year I created a poll to change the name and was
OVERWHELMINGLY and passionately voted down. In truth my proposed new name sucked, but I don't think a better thought out name would not have made much difference as it was the idea behind that was voted down.
Rename this site "Our Planet Also"
