When I have a shutdown or just when I'm angry in general I growl like a dog, it makes my mother angry and my friends laugh at me :(

Always have. If im angry enough, biting may not be out of the question. I become quite...primal when angry.

yup... i also hiss at sudden overwhelming input. this has caused many accusations of vampirism, since the most common sudden input is light; and hissing whenever someone opens curtains gets you such names ;)

I get that a lot too. Bright sudden light hurts and I react with strange sounds. Perhaps aspies are the true vampires 8O

Yes.

And, if I get a sudden hard shiver down my spine, I bark. <--I can control this and not do it in public though.

If cornered by an abuser, I have been known to bite to defend myself. Last time my dad ever beat me, he learned this.

I growl whenever I get frustrated. When i growl in public, I get mocked by people I don't even know.

Yep I'm a growler. Especially during meltdowns.

I use to snarl and growl like a dog when I was really young. In year 4 upwards I changed to hissing like a cat. These days I mostly meow or purr and bat my head against my mother to show affection like a cat. But when I'm in extreme times of stress is hiss or otherwise make some sort of shrieking animal sound. During these times I have to have so much self restraint because I feel the urge to bite but I make sure I don't

I don't do that anymore. But sometimes when I'm annoyed I snap my teeth and make a short hiss.
