I only first visited the dentist a few months ago (and I am 31)..she seemed very sweet and honset (and she was slightly younger than me)...and I only had 5 cavities which have all since been filled.
Doctors seem alot weirder and scarier to me...at least the ones i have met..and I have issues with the doctor I used to visit as a small child.

Dentist, definitely.
I used to be OK, until I had one who clearly wasn't that experienced and my family now call the "Driller Killer" . She couldn't get her head around the concept that the anaesthetic actually needs time to start working before you start drilling

The last two fillings I had were done without anaesthetic, at my behest, because I hate needles. Only twice did it really hurt, and even then only for a brief period each time.
That said, I still prefer going to the doctor because they don't poke random metal stuff into my mouth.
