in your house?

I have three cats that will leap on them and tear them apart. if they use the same enthusiasm they use on toy mice and flies, the zombies will be beheaded in a matter of seconds.

I suspect cats of being zombies because when they catch a mouse they always go first for the braaaaaiiinsss.....
I have a saber hanging nearby, that should do it.

I've got gunz in my room (and enough ammo for a town worth of zombies).

Got it covered.

I can get my hands on a hammer pretty fast and go all Tyreese on their skulls.

I have a lot of big hardcover books in my bedroom that could kill a man with a good throw.

Death by Perry Mason: Seven Complete Novels? There's got to be a good legal joke in there somewhere.

Um I could just run away? Or even speed-walk away. Aren't zombies slow?

Probably the best course of action. You don't want to be in melee range of something that's contagious through bites, as it's too easy to slip up and get bitten. They'd be a waste of most ammunition, unless you have a stockpile of .22LR on hand.

They don't tire though, even if they're slow, so your best bet is not to be seen in the first place.

A chainsaw. It'll make ground beef out of them in no time. 8)

Let's see, well, I've got a cat with really sharp claws and hates strangers intruding on her territory, I have a heavy, eight year old laptop, (using it now) a newer broken laptop and an even older, bigger laptop. (Both broken ones are sitting on top of each other on the ground at the foot of my bed.) I've got a plastic double barrel shotgun, I could hold it by the barrels and use it as a bludgeon, I've got a lava lamp, could throw it or break it and use it as a shank, got a glass and plastic box I could throw, a hardcover book that is a little over 1000 pages, an un-boxed Xbox from last Christmas. In the kitchen I've got frying pans, knives, a huge fork, (you know, the ones with the two elongated prongs) then, in our dining room I've got a full bookcase which probably has some big books, on the dining table there's a big lamp (like the Florence Nightingale lamp, just bigger) that could do a crap ton of damage.

All in all, I'm pretty prepared.

Probably a broomstick since my cats are useless. They run away as soon as they see anybody acting suspicious - for example a toddler.

Broomsticks make decent not so short range weapons and don't need ammunition. I could attach some knives to it for better piercing. Zombie shish-kebab anyone?

I got some knives, alto that would be probably be to close range for comfort in the long run. And in the case they are voodoo zombies there is some salt close by.
