People don't sue each other for trivial things in video games.

I cleared Final Fantasy (the first one) last Friday night. And I think Chaos, the final boss, was very easy to defeat.

The term RPG stands for Role-playing game.

Final Fantasy was created after the co-founder of Square was playing PC game Wizardry.

That itself may be true, but the name Final Fantasy (as may have been stated earlier in this thread) was given because Squaresoft was in financial trouble, and Hironobu Sakaguchi wanted to make his final game a fantasy game. Final Fantasy was gallows humour, but turned out, ironically, to be Square's salvation....

Some random facts. Mario's name used to be Jump Man. The company Nintendo has been around for 118 years founded in 1889.

Easier than the final boss of Final Fantasy 10? Now *THAT* was an anticlimax. I think I used Auron's "Banishing Blade" once, then a basic attack from Tidus, and that was it for the first stage. And the final stage... one attack and he's beated. Pathetic!

The character design of Damon Gant of the Phoenix Wright series was modeled after the Greek god Zeus.

In Deus Ex, you can stumble across Majestic 12 long before they "officially" appear in the story. If you follow a chain of events involving helping out Sandra, talking to her friend in the nightclub and chatting with Smuggler once you have the password to his den, you find out about sinister people in the sewers. There's a whole miniature MJ12 base set up down there, doing nefarious things with the water supply. If you come back later, you'll find that all the troops have been killed, even if you avoided them or took them out nonlethally. The organisation does not tolerate failure, it seems.

Also, it is possible to save Paul's life. During the ambush at the hotel, don't leave through the window like he advises you to. Instead, leave through the door and then through the front entrance of the hotel (it doesn't matter what you do to the attacking troops--using camo and sneaking out is just as valid as killing everyone).

Two of the "bosses" you face have self-destruct codes. If you find them out, you can kill them both without firing a shot.

Also, the guest register at the hotel lists Hippolyta Hall (The Sandman and Gully Foyle (The Stars My Destination) as guests.

In Final Fantasy XII, the Pharos Lighthouse Third Ascent is a confusing level.

In star wars: Knights of the old republic, it is better to play either all the way to the darkside, or all the way to the light side because being neutral doesn't give you nice bonuses to force powers like the others do.

In Megaman Legends, in the Apple Market there is a tin can and the place known as the Jetlag Bakery. If you kick the can into the bakery, you gain 1,000 zenny. If at one point in the game when a certain person isn't pacing in the bakery and you kick the can into it, you still get your 1,000 zenny and MegaMan's armor starts turning black.

In Doukutsu Monogari, when you are about to enter the Throne Room for final battles, you can climb up the wall, and you find the sign saying "That's all folks!".

In GTA: Vice City, there are a few easter eggs...

There is a motel in the earliest section in which you can acquire a chainsaw. The chainsaw is located in a blood-spattered bathroom, eerily reminiscent of a scene in Scarface (homage to that movie is also paid in the climactic fight with Sonny Forelli and his goons).

In the Downtown area, there is a certain room that can only be reached with a tricky jump from the corner of another building. If you make it in, there is a giant Easter egg in the middle of the room.

Also, in Vice City, at one point you purchase a boatyard from a couple of stoners. In GTA: San Andreas, when you need some assistance around your new garage in San Fierro, you're steered toward a couple of stoners, geniuses with anything that has an internal-combustion engine, who "used to have this place in Vice City until the Mob ran 'em out."

Also in San Andreas, if you steal or cheat up a jetpack, and fly to the top of the tallest tower on the San Fierro Bridge, you will find that the tower is spray-painted with the words, "There is nothing secret up here."

In GTA III, one of the callers to the Chatterbox talk-radio show speaks of injuries received during the Australian-American War; Lazlow, the host, doesn't believe such a war ever happened. In San Andreas, when you enter an Ammu-Nation store, one of the announcements broadcast over the speakers regards a sale on rocket launchers, "just like the ones we used in the war with Australia!"

Lazlow is the only radio host to appear in GTA III (Chatterbox), GTA: Vice City (V-Rock), and GTA: San Andreas (er - the NPR-type station, can't recall the name of it now). He is also, in real life, the chief writer of radio dialogue for all three games.

Robin Williams named his daughter, Zelda Williams, after The Legend of Zelda.
