I normally don't have trouble with abstract thinking. It seems like my thinking becomes extremely black and white when I get an OCD obsession. My sexual orientation is an example. Before I obsessed about it I didn't really care about it. When I started obsessing about it I went absolutely crazy. I'm better now, but I still feel like sexual attraction is too much of an abstract concept to be meaningful for me. When I mention I don't label my sexuality people like to ask me if I'm attracted to men, women or both. That question drives me absolutely crazy. It means nothing to me. I can vaguely tell I'm attracted to women in some way, but I still have no clue about men. I hate OCD.

Sexual attraction is not abstract to me. It's a very concrete feeling.

Actually....I think it's best when it's not abstract.

I guess I'm weird. I've thought about possibly being asexual, but I think I'm way too sexually frustrated to be asexual. I have kind felt sexual attraction in dreams, but that involved touching people. Never have a chance to do that in real life.

You're not weird. You're just a human being. Human beings have sexual desires.

Have you applied to optician school yet?

If it's related to OCD you could try treating the OCD.
