A generalization, but being left wing anything seems contrary to autism. Most left wing people only think with emotion rather than facts and logic. Conservatism is the opposite- and I would have guessed most autistic people to lean more towards the right. I certainly do, and its because I look for truth and facts rather just pure emotion in how I believe things should be run.

The problem with being any sort of centrist is if you lean center-left, you get lumped with the ultra-socialists. And if you lean center-right, you're lumped with the ultra-fascists. We're way too polarized, generalize way too much, and rarely consider the fact that not all Democrats are liberal and not all Republicans are conservative (same with parties outside the U.S.)
