Six Injured In Knife Attack At Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade

Link to Los Angeles Times article

Batsheva Sobelman wrote:
An ultra-Orthodox Jewish man attacked revelers taking part in Jerusalem’s annual gay pride parade on Thursday, stabbing and injuring six of them, police and witnesses said. Police identified the suspect as Yishai Schlissel, who carried out a similar attack on a gay pride parade in 2005 and was released from jail three weeks ago, local media reported. The suspect was subdued by an officer who pinned him to the ground.
Either Israel needs better screening of its violent parolees, a more secular government, or stronger knife-control laws.

I don't understand how a more secular government could have prevented this?

Also as a Jewish extremist, can be be called a terrorist?

Call me crazy but intent to re-offend is usually a dis-qualifier for parole?

The israeli authorities were asleep at the wheel. This guy made it clear that he was going to do the same thing again.

The Israeli government needs to improve its weapon-control laws.
