Seems like Ferguson, Missouri would be the prime location for this Jade Helm civil crackdown if it were going to happen. If Jade Helm is such a threat to freedom, why isn't it showing up in Ferguson with all the civil unrest and violence? If it were what you think it is, Ferguson would be the perfect excuse to put Jade Helm into operation. So what gives?

Well, JH15 is taking place in Texas, New Mexico, etc. It is mostly about the places where a lot of people are patriotic, love the 2nd amendment overall red blooded americans who want to protect their country. And these areas are being considered "Hot Zones" which really concerns me. I feel that the people who are behind it are trying to push an agenda. Did you know that some of the rioters in Ferguson were actually supported by RevComUSA which is the Communist Party? It is funny though that most of these people are trying to protest against police, But support a group of people who are trying to create a police state. There are a lot of people in government who express a lot of Socialist/Communist views, so if this is the case, it doesn't surprise me. So in theory, their primary focus is on the average american who loves their country.

Don't be silly. O'bummer would never do that to his own people.

New Mexico....patriotic hot zone? First I heard. Also, there's Jade Helm stuff going on in Portland *gasp* Oregon which is considered to be a hopelessly liberal Mecca by conservatives.

Why would you think just political ideology would halt a crackdown? If the government was prepared to forego the constitution with a massive crackdown on civil rights, Ferguson would be the perfect excuse to do that! While the government can abuse its power, and the most common form is through over policing and throwing people in jail where they have no voice, what is happening in Ferguson is being regarded as a legal display of peaceful protest, even though a few individuals seize the opportunity to loot and shoot. It's being widely regarded as a place of protest against the ruthless structure and the government is allowing this to unfold. To not allow it would be the end of civil rights and the US constitution. You can clearly see what is unfolding before your eyes, outsiders being allowed to put the ruthless structure in check which is the only way to stop abuse from authority. Jade Helm is not stopping it. So far, it's simply a military training exercise. It is not clear what it's application will be or if it will ever be implemented. In fact, let's say this country was invaded by another. Jade Helm might be put into operation then to combat that situation, if it ever did arise. Everyone is so quick to assume abuse is about to happen without looking at how we respond and the process of protection our constitution gives. So long as we are allowed to respond, the constitution is working.

Very simplistic view of government you have. And what makes you think the military, who, supposedly do not like Obama, for the most part, would be completely under his control? It seems like white Christians were ground more by President Clinton.

*shrug* only simple people who cling to their guns and religion and antipathy toward people who aren't like themselves think jade helm is anything nefarious.

I'm just here to review facts and to not jump to conclusions. Once there's a reason to be wary of Jade Helm, I will not. There's obvious abuse of power out there, but, so far, it isn't Jade Helm 15. For all you, I, or anyone knows, Jade Helm could become an abuse of power tomorrow. It's not today. So, why not focus on what is actually happening? Right now, it is the police who are abusing their power, and the criminal justice system that needs reviewing, because, so often, justice is either not served or the penalties are too severe. This is where the meat is. Jade Helm is just a smoke screen at the moment. Look at what's happening right under the nose.

I think the theory that Jade Helm is a cover for a take-over is specious. The powers-that-be are far more subtle than that. They will simply continue to erode our rights and the checks and balances in the Constitution until they get what they want.
