Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under by Shania Twain. When I was a kid (18) I worked at a factory where they played country music. This was 1995 and this song played about 5 times a day. I haven't heard the song in 20 years but it's still in my mind. :|

"That's The Way It Is"-- Celine Dion....Horrible song, horrible singing.

I like most of what was listed here especially the one posted rite before my post. I think this is the worst I ever heard.

Hey, nick007, and anyone else who bothered to watch your YouTube post, yeah, that was awful. The lead singer sings worse than I do in a crowd. He was terrible! I also think that the keyboardist was out of time. I wonder if they were playing at a carnival or something like that. I'd run away if I heard them. . . . but drat, the Ferris wheel would have broken down at right that moment with me in it so in the end, I would have heard their entire album and have lost my entire lunch and sanity.

Oh dear.

I've noticed that a lot of people are posting songs that are meant to be obnoxious.

Yes and I find those people to be obnoxious. I don't have to like pop music, but it's undeniable that it makes a lot of money from a certain demographic. Everyone can't have a perfect taste in music like me :P. I can just ignore those songs at the end of the day too, but I can't escape terrible covers of songs from the groups that I like. :x

To the extent that it qualifies as a song, anyone remember this thing?

Also, this one is pretty bad:

way to get the only good elements of your song from a much better band and song there, "puff"... :x

Why?

I find it very depressing.

I like it, but then I tend to like sad/depressing songs.

As for "charted" songs I'd have to go with...
"Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro (although his other hits like "I'm a Drifter" and "Little Things" are among my favourites),
Coming in right behind would be other obsessed with death numbers like
"Tell Laura I Love Her" by Ray Peterson.
"Ebony Eyes" by The Everly Brothers (NOT the Bob Welch song by the same title which is totally cool.)
"Teen Angle" and "Last Kiss" are just as stupid, but I can't recall who did them.

People aren't gonna like this, but I find many heavy metal songs VERY annoying because it just sounds mostly like screaming.

And a lot of rap songs just sound like a bunch of angry guys swearing.

Opera sounds like a lot of of people screaming, but in a language I don't understand. Which is more understandable than the words in metal. :)

And country/western is... well it's like that joke where you play the song backwards and you get your dog back, you get your truck back, you get your spouse back, you get your job back, and then finally you STOP drinking. :hic:
